MobileMe so bad that Apple is giving it away
Three months of thanks for nothing
APPLE ALBATROSS MobileMe has had its free subscription extended yet again because the service quality is as spotted as a leopard with terminal acne.
Apple has announced that it will extend user accounts another 60 days for free – that's on top of the 30-day free extension Apple gave users in July. So that is three months bad service, terrible PR for nothing.
In an unusual turnaround, Apple actually admitted that it had done something wrong. The email to customers said that its "Web services suite needs more work. " This is something unheard of in Apple's marketing history, we rarely see the fruit-themed toymaker ever admit anything negative.
But while the confession is still hot off the web we should make sure that every word is repeated.
"We are working very hard to make MobileMe a great service we can all be proud of. We know that MobileMe's launch has not been our finest hour, and we truly appreciate your patience as we turn this around," the MobileMe Team said.

In this "we have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Jobs", statement, we at last start to see the smugness of the outfit fall away and it start to become a little more human.
Companies stuff up, but those companies who claim they are perfect, deny they do anything wrong and have a team of quasi-religious loonies believing in it, deserve a good kicking when they fail. µ

Humble Apple Pie
I'm surprised that there's no pun-reference to 'Humble Apple Pie' or some other connotation of eating (or being force-fed) some version of Humble Apple Baked-Good...?Good to see that even Apple can bring out a Microsoft Bob from time to time ;-)
Impressed...
You guys just managed to simultaneously bash an Apple product and NOT find a way to twist the article around to make Microsoft look even worse. I'm shocked. Good work, guys!what is all the negative hype about?
mobileme actually works very well. I am not sure what's all the negative hype is about? they could have launched it better, no doubt and apparently some users could not access email for a while - that is not good but the service as it stands today is pretty great. I get the benefits of wireless synced calender and contacts for $100 a year plus other services - which I use. As a solo consultant its like having an IT department running a full backoffice suite of services for me.That is a great deal for any small business. I love it. Its nothing like Bob.Author is a Douchbag
Wow, you get paid to write drivel like this? Where can I get a job being a 'sky is falling' loser? You are an idiot.
Who writes this slop?>>but those companies who claim they are perfect, deny they do anything wrong and have a team of quasi-religious loonies believing in it,
Apple never claims to be perfect and they do own up to being wrong. Look at the $100 rebate they gave people who bought $599 iPhones when they dropped the price to $399.
Also, it is not the company's fault that a cult of "quasi-religious loonies" has formed.
This so-called story is garbage.
